“Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chiffonier has been cleaned and French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour and patination of mahogany is of an excellent standard. There are no stains or watermarks to the top! The drawer and doors close flush to the frame; they are not warped and there are no splits to the door panels. The drawer interior boasts the original blue Regency rice paper lining, which is very nice to see it has survived intact until today. The drawer also retains its original working lock and key with original turned knobs. The right-hand door retains its original working lock (with a working key) and the left drawer retains its original internal brass locking latches. The carcass is solid in joint with no lose movements and there is no missing veneer. The chiffonier stands on its original turned feet.”
