“Bought on with a messed up shutter. I Opened the back and removed the film gate and timing cover. Analysis revealed some idiot used black fabric paint on the focal plane cloth, then rolled it together. When it dried it was glued together. Half of the shutter operated, the other half non-existent I removed all of the the shutter cloth as the tapers were off. I didn"t have new focal plane shutter cloth, so I evened the taper lengths, vacuumed the paint off and reassembled the old cloth. I got the gearing lubed at the same time. The shutter works fine again. HOWEVER, the curtains are like screen doors and lots of light leaks, tons! So it is a display piece at the moment, A working camera that is not for film! Rangefinder works well. Case snout is missing, case repaired in inside. Pinpoint ding on top deck. Both strap luge missing off camera, how is that possible? Its very RARE to find these cameras with working shutters! Self timer works also. A very improved semi Leica copyModel F”
